If you log on the above you will be able to trace your visa.
Unfortunately have just discovered ours are on hold!!! and to contact
the call center. Turns out it is because we have not got a return ticket
and to fill in the application form again.

Will have to pay £5 for the envelope to get it there before the strike.
anybody got any other ideas.

Wonder if going to Cardiff would be of any use, there are quite a few people in Wales having problems.

Call center number 0905750045 95p a min + 6p min BT

[email protected]

Just two infor details for you - takes ages to find.

Re: Visa problem

Where on the visa form does it ask about tickets?

On IndiaMike the question is frequently asked "Do I need a return ticket?" and the answer is always "No".

Is this yet another case of a VFS employee making up the rules as they go along?

Still puzzled how they knew about your ticket anyway........................

Don't ask  a law unto themselves as usual. If only you could talk to somebody, they tell you to ring the Call Center and :frown::frown::frown:
three families in Wales are in this situation, one should be flying out on Monday.

Does anybody have a direct line to Hayes so that Old Man and others like him can call them direct.

It would be helpful if all contact numbers could be put on this thread

Is it a case that you didn't put a return date from India on your Visa application form.

No there was one and within the limit.

Have filled in application forms again, the say they have the photo's, return envelope and passbooks - so sent OH down Post Office to resend by special delivery to Hayes they should get it tomorrow. What is so annoying is that they have our home telephone number, (have answering service) both mobiles and email address - what more can you do

I have managed to speak to a real person by ringing the Complaints number 02078113976, Monday to Friday between 0900hrs - 1300hrs & 1400hrs - 1700hrs.

I have even had someone actually ring me back when I left a message on the answerphone.

Good luck.

Thank you for that - have spoken to Complaints very nice chap - he does not
know after looking at his screen why they are messing about. He is asking one of the Hayes advisors to ring us back by 5.00. - won't hold me breath.:fingerscrossed:
OH is still hanging on the lights. :sneaky:

Re: Visa problem

They are really making life difficult at VFS and the Indian Consulate.

Applied for 1YR Multiple T Visa 8 days ago through visa surgery.

Received phone call from VFS today asking me to fax my Sale Deeds, and all supporting documents. The consulate have requested these, even though they have had notarised copies of all this and more in all previous years to when I used to easily get a 1 year X Visa.

Cost of faxing is going to be £30 upwards, on top of all the other processing fees, paying a non refundable amount for a type of visa I might not be issued, and the extra £7 odd for DX delivery (to avoid the Royal Mail).

Off to local Mailboxes shop now before they close for the day, not a happy chappy.

Perhaps I shouldn't have stated my intention of stay as ' to enjoy and maintain in good repair my property in Goa and to oversee and pay for such works'?

The Consulate is definitely trawling for informationon behalf of the Indian authorities, so I guess I'm soon on the radar for that speedy post D of E letter.

Surprised they haven't joined up the dots before now anyway, what with notarised Sale Deeds floating around the FRO, Electricity Department, PWD, Panchayat, RTO, Consulate......

Harrassment all around from the start. Would not be giving Goa a second thought if not shackled to a property they won't allow to sell.

I wouldn't be surprised if your business visa delays aren't in some misguided way connected to the subject discussed on the thread which can be accessed via this link: http://www.indiamike.com/india/india...-india-t91444/

I don't understand why they should want your Deeds, we all gave them copies when we had the wonderful 5 year x visa's. Surely they have copies
in their files.

Your costs are going to be exhorbitant - Old man had to purchase the £4.95 envelope and make calls on the premier line, there are people who should be
flying out on Monday who do not have their visa's yet.

Good luck :fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed:

My friends are caught up in this bl"""y fiasco and I am weeping for them,
OK we are told not to book a flligt before you have your visa but for goodness sake one month before you are going out should be enough.
We will see how this season pans out but at the moment I am not happy with what is happening here and think will go somewhere else in Asia or find a long let in Surfers Paradise in Australia - nowt to loose except sons inheritance.
