The comment was all tourist Indian are more likely to be in this frame of mind, to spit not Goan, as I read it. And as I said, Goan has no time for Indian tourist with all their faults, spitting being the least of them.

This is a serious Sticky Thread, giving details of how people could be helped with their visa's any more diversifying, and I will close it, you have all been asked nicely. Some of this should be on Buyer Beware Chit Chat etc.

edited link so hope working:
THE grief-stricken family of an Island man found dead in India have been told it could be months before his body can be flown home.
John Matthews, of Atherley Road, Shanklin, was found dead in Goa on March 29, while on a 90-day backpacking holiday.
It is thought he was out celebrating his 49th birthday, when his body was found on a beach.
His brother, David Matthews, who lives in Luton, has been told it could cost the family thousands of pounds to fly John’s body home, if they don’t wait for the results of a toxicology report, expected to take up to two years.
David said: "We have been told it is going to cost us more than £3,000 to fly John’s body back to the UK, because the Indian government is waiting for results of a toxicology report.
"It is money I do not have and the price is rising every day he is out there.
"John took out two lots of insurance before he went but now we are being told they won’t pay to fly his body back until the toxicology reports come back, which we are told, could take up to two years."

anyone read the book called The Ganja Coast (?) - it tells that one of the oldest and most despicable scams in Goa is demanding massive bakshish to release FN's bodies. It goes so far as to suggest that in the past (?) people have been killed simply for that purpose.

That is about as sick and twisted as it gets.
I bet if his family wanted to go to Goa to bring him back, they would have hassle getting visas !

Dread - terrible

Has anyone heard any more about the two month rule being changed? The last I read (The Times Delhi) they were thinking of changing the rules to be three entries on a multiple entry visa with a possible fourth entry on application. I, and no doubt many others would like to know what, if anything is happening before booking flights for next season.

Spoke to a friend of mine today who lives in Goa. She tells me that several people she knows on tourist visas have gone to Sri Lanka to renew and have been successful and been back in Goa within a week.
Maybe a fluke but sounds promising.

Sounds promising, Dread - but with new 6 month multiple entry T visas, or only 3 month?

And is the 2 month between visits clause still endorsed on the visas?
