Because most people go to goa many times they have been on all the trips by taxi, me included.
We have`nt been back for 5 years but i know whats going on. we have known our driver for 20years and still keep in touch "no money given or asked for i may add" Not all of them do, but would you like to work in the paddy fields out of season for 50-70 rps a day "NO"
Find a good one treat him well, and remember you would`nt swap
I agree totally, we have one taxi driver our friends always use when they are here, and we have our own, he has never asked for anything, although years ago we helped his dad when he was desperately ill, and when we go with him (we have our own jeep), he still says No to money = of course, we pay him what we think is the going rate. We were going between him and our cleaner or works on a taxi himself now - S has been loyal to us for 16 years, before going on the taxi's. He told me to use K as he had to make repayments on the taxi and he only had to pay the money to his boss. That is what I call a good mate. Of course, we have always looked after him as our cleaner, and his wedding is coming up and he will have a good wedding present.
There are some really loyal Goans.

yes Noni!!

There are still some very loyal Goans!most of my neighbours!

I`ve been in exile for 2 months but you would not believe the greetings i`ve received from all the local businesses i support since I`ve been back.

The family that looked after all our stuff - including the Bullet in their lounge for 7 months a year have never asked for a dime!
I`ve seen them alright for the daughters wedding in may!

Very genuine God fearing people!
