Many things have been achieved in the past by pressure being applied from public outcry. Not least in Goa itself. So even though technically speaking many FNs walked into things naively.....hopefully and eventually some middle ground compromise may be possible. The public in goa will in general welcome the ousting of FNs and will see no need for compromise or clemency. Any FN facing adjudication in india is in a lottery with unquantifiable odds. Best to budget for 100% loss and then you wont be disappointed. Most FNs cannot imagine the insensitivity, stupidity and inhumanity with which indian officials can carry out their duties. regards douglas |
