Yep!! you are right noni.
Did you see in the Forbes article they said the Goans would be investigated what a load of tosh
There has to be an end to this it must be costing them a bomb in paper all these letters they are sending out.
I can't see how the taxi will investigate companies unless you haven't submitted your returns, they already have this information. If you haven't got your deeds it would be difficult to trace the people on sales agreements unless these builders shop people in the hope they will get the property confiscated to make a quick buck. Now this wouldn't surprise me with some builder.
I believe if they confiscate one FNs property the greedy builders will then start dobbing people in to the DoE until then we will be under the radar

Can almost guarantee 'giry' is not Goan. If he was , he would not be surprised that FNs buy/bought property in Goa. This 'giry' fellow is from another state in all likelihood. He s the type of character FNs now face as opponents, because he has access to the internet, may have new insight into what is in his experience a paradise (Goa) and sees opportunity for himself. And guess what? He will make headway, by claiming he is truly Goan, and he will make money off the FNs and then turf them out.

Hi,

Just a bit of news. Someone who has been waiting for 4 years to register their deeds told me they had a call from their advocate asking them to proceed quickly to register their deeds. I am a bit sceptical about that, but maybe something has changed and registration is now open. Does any one know if the 'law', 'rules' or 'procedure' have changed in the last week?

Hi Ruskin

Very interesting - would love to hear more details of this as it progresses.
Haven't heard of any changes, but this persons situation could guide us all.

Dread - hoping one day...

For the attention of all Indian - especially Goan officialdom
Hi Eddie,

Regarding the article 'Who The Bleep Cares About British Racialism' 22nd July 2009 - Weekly Column by Selma Corvalho.

I would remind your correspondent that the British Establishment at the time had similar thoughts about the Welsh, Irish, Scots and English working class (serfs - white slaves!!!! ) and if it wasn't for brave men & women who fought for the rights of the working class throughout the century and formed the Trade Union movement we would still have men, women and children living in abject poverty, slaves to the wealthy mine owners, land owners, & factory owners, working for a pittance and in conditions the elite class, ( British Establishment) wouldn't allow their dogs the endure!!!
Their life expectancy wouldn't be as to day that's for sure!! suffering with tuberculosis, rickets, starvation and many other diseases of the poor.

Not unlike the caste system present India at this time.

Therefore I would advise your correspondent to read up on the history of the ordinary working class people of Britain and Ireland, especially Southern Ireland.

Your short sighted Goan Government Officials should realise that whilst in the days of the Raj, it was only the upper class British Establishment who lived in the lap of luxury with Indian servants etc. Back in the UK it wasn't any different, only that the under privileged servants happened to be white British subjects!!

The way your Government has treated UK FN's foreign nationals who have, and who have hoped to purchase property in Goa, shows how ignorant they are of the real situation - e.g. people like myself, working class, the offspring of former white slaves, are the ones who had hoped to legally purchase property in Goa, ploughing tens of thousands of pounds ( tens of millions of rupees) into the Goan economy by spending money in the restaurants, shacks, jewellery shops, street vendors, clothes shops and more importantly making donations to the local orphan children. Wake up Goa - don't shoot yourself in the foot!!!!

In conclusion, it is ironic that these bigoted Goan officials are no better than the British Establishment who were thrown out of India for the same elitist, racial attitude, a case of the kettle calling the pot black!!!!

Thanks for your support Eddie
