You are probably right. I would think this is a very poor strategy but she may crave attention and do anything to get it. She can do what she wants in terms of furthering her own career but it is sordid to do so in a way that damages those who have already been damaged. She hurts innocent people for her own ego. One very nasty lady. let's hope that there are so many complaints/negative press about her that the Law Society steps in about unprofessional conduct but there again, the legal profession often protects its own.

Worse than anything is the impact it will have on genuine victims of sexual offences. For anyone to come forward and report such incidences is traumatic in itself and most generally fear not being believed or taken seriously.
This woman is a representative of so called British justice and a human rights lawyer to boot...........for her to make these comments serves to reinforce the victims fear that they will not be believed or taken seriously..........................Police and other organisations have spent decades working to improve the process for those reporting such crimes and this type of diatribe from someone in her position serves to undo much of that great work...........................
......................and that makes this cretinous woman's comments totally unacceptable and should bring about her immediate disbarring from the judicial system.
As for her comments about "persecuting elderly men" - well none of those who have come to light recently were "elderly men" when they were abusing children under 16, and all were more than culpable for their actions when they committed sexual offences.

Well said Dread, this is appalling, I can't believe that some people are so dislodged from reality.

Another deeply concerning aspect of this woman's verbal diarrhea is that she wants to lower the age of consent to 13.....even if you take the view that young people seem to grow up quickly these days, it is a well known fact that emotional and mental maturity plays catch up to physical maturity......... for her to even suggest such a notion would illustrate that she condones the deeds of the paedophile...........
............and in her position (having taken the hypocratic oath - part of which is to uphold the law) that is just plain wrong on every conceivable level.

There has been a move towards this attitude since the Gillick competence case 1985.
I personally disagreed with the way the ruling was interpreted subsequently.

Jet Airways have decided to copy Air India in only allowing 15kg of free baggage allowance for internal flights.......excess baggage to cost 250rp a kg.
So make sure you book you domestic and international flights with the same carrier at the same time .

Re: In To-day's Newspapers
Another thing I found with Jet when checking in at Dabolim, but NOT when checking in at London, was that if you have two bags of different sizes they want them both the same weight.........
I had one suitcase and one holdall which is much smaller than the case so obviously the suitcase weighed more, but neither exceeded the 23 kg. They insisted that I had to unpack my stuff and swap things between bags to try and make them the same weight..... which was something of an impossible task !
Jet Airways take note.............this is ridiculous and you need to teach your check in staff some common sense !
