Re: In To-day's Newspapers
Think it would be fair to say most members of the "Nigerian fraternity" are here for that specific reason?
Ever since they started cropping up some years back, the prevalent question was .......why? Are they in Goa on holiday? Students (genuine)? Legitimately working? Playing football for Churchill Alemeo (a few maybe) Or selling drugs............................................. ..........? I know where my bet lies. and on the issue of have you been offered drugs? Yes repeatedly and on one occasion when the offer was vociferously refused, threats of violence replaced it. The person concerned (Goan) has since died.............from a drugs overdose. So there is justice in this world after all? |

You forgot one on your list J5................ ............Visa sleezing European women I know of at least two cases of such, each now living in the UK having married Brit women, and left said women as soon as they qualified to remain in the UK. That said, this is hardly a rare phenomenom around the tourist destinations of the world! Dread - x |

Re: In To-day's Newspapers
Wept with laughter whilst reading the OHerald and the Navhind Times on the beach yesterday.....
The first article to cause me such hilarity was all about a governement meeting where 'Mental Miccky' Pacheco attacked the current ministers for the state of 'lawlessness' in Goa !!! Then I read about some shack owners society employing private security guards on a stretch of Baga beach to rid the place of Lamanis, beggars and hawkers - apparently because the police are unable to control this problem !! (Oh Yes - like the said security guards won't take such readily available backshish !!!!!) Finally there was a fabulous article and picture showing Chief Minister Kamat ceremoniously opening a new public toilet in Margao or somewhere - fitting for someone who is a complete xxxx I suppose !!!! An enjoyable read full of comedic value for those who can appreciate such bitter irony Dread - x |
