Hi good evening ,

My daughters British passport has been dispatched and apparently
Going to Morocco they did give me a tracking number and now is
Just sitting in London and says it's been signed for .
It has been a week and when I call the passport Office they say it has been sent and are quite vague with my questions
Has anyone had a bad experience with waiting for a passport
To be delivered , because it's going to Morocco I'm just a bit anxious
Of how we are going to get it ? Any one have any ideas on how
Long it takes for an overseas passport to be deleivered of its going
Overseas ??

That's correct unless you lived in the UK for a continuous period of three years or more.

The only way to get British Citizenship for your child is for your whole family to come and settle in the UK. Please see post #1700 for more details.

Hello everyone,

I'd like to know one thing from experts here. According to what I learnt on this forum, if your country is included in group 3 for supporting documents, it means it is a high risk country for frauds. I wonder for Burma (Myanmar) to be in which category (high risk, moderate risk, etc) which is included in group 2. Hope someone here can shed a light for me.
Thanks advance for your reply!

Regards,
May

As a very rough guide, you could consider Group 1 low risk , Group 2 moderate risk and Group 3 high risk but it will depend on the individual country and on the applicant's circumstances.

Thanks for your quick reply and answered my question!

Now I got a rough idea for average waiting time and possible assessment stages for my application.

I got an email from the examiner last week saying he has advised his overseas colleagues on 16 February that they should arrange my interview once their checks are complete which will be in the next few weeks. Also, the interview will be conducted with my child’s father as he is the parent through whom my child obtains his citizenship, and possibly myself as I completed and signed the application form as the child’s mother. I made the check list for my application by reading through this forum for many months. Much appreciated to all the ones here. Hope I'm getting near now.
Good luck to everyone who are waiting

Hi board members

Need help understanding my situation and my options .. I'm a UK citizen living in Dubai, my wife is Pakistani national. We applied for UK passport late January for our newborn daughter here in Dubai (Born in Dubai)

So far it has been more than 5 weeks and the passport office says application still under examination, whatever that means!

So how much wait are we looking at?
Because in UAE/Dubai authorities do not tolerate children staying without ID for long, our daughter has no access to any other nationality and I was naturalized (gave up original nationality due to rules) .. If the delay extend to more than 12 weeks we could face hefty fines by authorities here due to lack of child ID!

Not make much difference from where you applied from. though place of birth can give you bit edge but not sure how much as there are many factors being taken into account.

Good morning guys,

Just thought I would pop on today
Because we picked up my daughters
British passport a few days ago ,
I origanlly sent the application
On August 2016 , was asked to attend an interview on January 21 2017 , interview went well and exactly 4 weeks after passport was sent out no DNA required , passport arrived at passport consular office Rabat for my wife to collect march
6th 2017 ,

Just thought I would come back
And tell my story as this forum helped me when I was unsure and was worried about them asking for a DNA , a lot of people were asked to produce a DNA test on here , so hope this helps guys thanks .

I wish you all Luck because I know
It is a very stressful situation and takes a long time .

Peace out .

I received sms yesterday from dhl: DDGS C/O is scheduled for delivery tomorrow and will require a signature. My husband checked the status online and we were asked to contact them (hmpo office).

Any similar case here?
