Still Homesick after a year!

Re: Still Homesick after a year!
An update on what should have been an exciting week.
My wonderful husband had an accident at work a week before he was due to leave. He was grinding metal when the cutting disc exploded. Despite wearing gloves and obviously mask, his hand was severed between the fingers. After a dash to the hospital, he was told that it was broken and would need to see a specialist. Far from being a simple break, it seems both sides of his knuckle joint have been pulverized. He has been booked in for surgery Thursday. A claim with worksafe Bc has been started and status is "Allowed". We are still hoping to leave Saturday, but have no idea how this is going to leave us. He had work lined up in the UK almost immediately. Disastrous!!

Thanks everyone. I think I need to surrender to chaos theory, and accept that anything can and will happen.
