I cracked ... Finally... Looking at the paperwork.
After nearly 19 years, ironic that I'm doing this as I plan to leave

Hopefully its all processed before you go....
I need to apply eventually, I look at the forms, and too much work to remember all the addresses I have lived at the last 5 years, so waiting until the amount I have to remember is less.
There just is no way to remember them all or find out what they even were.
Some years I lived in 5 or 6 places..

Having had a quick glance at the processing times, I'm glad I'm not in a hurry
. Looks like I'll still need to renew that darn PR card in the meantime.
I'm mildly bothered about the citizenship exam. Thinking of doing it in French. Having had a quick glance at some "mock" tests, it appears to be quite different, depending on language. Speaking of which ... (Off to dig out ancient education certificates)

Shirtback why had you never fancied doing it before? Are you just thinking of doing it now so that you can come back when you leave if you want to?

Millie, sounds silly, but I just never got a round tuit / couldn't be bothered
.
& yes to the second question - it's an insurance/just in case scenario; I'm going to start moving about/travelling again, & with children firmly rooted here, it makes sense to ensure I can come back & forth without counting days.
The citizenship test is fun

I got a 90% on the practice test I found on the Richmond Library website.
I only chose 10 questions though, missed 1.
With 20 questions, got an 85%.
Having never taken any history of Canada, no idea how my brain knows the answers...lol

.I have noticed that if I wait another few years, the test is not required.
UK & possibly Europe this summer, then India for ~6 months. After that who knows
