Everything is subjective, no such thing as objectivity. But saying that, I've done enough qualitative inquiry to understand and demonstrate the nature of my reality. As in most individual case studies the most one can generalize is to say if your situation resembles this, you may find the same results.

No surreal and absurd. Different Realities perception and experiences are what makes everyone here unique. We are the travelers in today's era where everyone appears lost.

I did the informational interviews. Even though the economy was in the crapper at the time I believed I could get some sort of job within a few months if I was prepared to be flexible. We checked the classified ads and reckoned we could afford a reasonable house in the suburbs. So we went for it. It was a case of could we get by rather than could we buy a huge house and have lots of toys.
Now Mrs JonboyE is involved in community activities and has a huge circle of friends. I see the Golden Ears when I join the freeway each morning, and watch the sun rise over the northern Cascades in my rear view mirror. I am doing work that pays the bills and allows me to make a modest contribution to the society that we have chosen to live in.
It is hard to imagine how life could be better.
