The posts of recent PRs at Vancouver suggest that Customs do not process the Goods-to-Follow lists of people who are landing then returning to the UK. I would still have one ready just in case.
The same with the proof of funds. They usually take your word for it, but sod's law specifically states that if you don't have proof (a bank statement is sufficient) then they will demand to see it.
