What would you pay someone to do for you?

I would pay someone to do my job for me, particularly if I could get them to do it for 25% of what I am paid.

I remember years ago on the Howard Stern show on they had a competition between the music director of Rock 101 FM NY and a chimpanzee. Both picked 5 songs and the audience called into vote whose selection they liked best. It was a blind test, the monkey’s selection won.

Hmm. Just thinking. I'm in St John's and over the last year or so I have paid someone to:
instal new kitchen and bathroom taps
fix a window that wouldn't shut
hang a window blind
seal my driveway
fix my front porch railings
stain my back deck
mow the grass (my back yard has a slope from hell)
snow clear my driveway
change the oil in my car
switch over my winter tires
take my bulk garbage to the dump after spring clean
take my old mattresses to the dump after purchasing new ones
dispose of my old stove/oven after purchasing a new one
groom my dog
If I could find a window cleaner I would be all over that.
I heard a show on CBC radio last week talking about finding a well needed service and offering it, they mentioned a new business cleaning dog poop from people's back yard for a fee of $15 a month. That's something else I would pay for
And can I add that finding someone reliable was really difficult. I had so many no replies or no shows. It's really challenging to find good help for small jobs.

As I tell my wife, and anyone else who will listen, being handy is a curse.

Not being handy can be a curse as well, especily when you need something done and its not affordable.
The one winter we did use winter tires, I could have done it if they were on rims....lol
I can change oil as well but being renters in apartments there is nowhere to change it yourself since auto repairs including oil changes are not permitted on property.

Over the past 15 months I have almost all those for myself, except I don't have a dog, winter tyres, an asphalt driveway, or a deck. The only one I have paid someone else to do is to change the oil in my vehicles - I have changed the oil in my mowers though.
