I was corrected more than once by my Yorkshire mother for saying "me n' Gemma and especially for what she considered to be slang like "shut door without a 'the'

My old business partner never allowed me to write any of our contract proposals because he said my english was appalling. Funny how all recipients (brits, yanks and canucks) of the proposals used to call me and ask for a translation.

They should have the basic courtesy of drinking less, especially so during daylight hours when one wishes to easily go about one's business, and so they may appear slightly more coherent and intelligent to the other party.
