Thank you anyway, bless ...

Both programs have ended now. The cash for clunkers one they ran out of money. Guess the govt. had more important things to spend their (Our) money on, like pizza

I can definitely agree that BC cars are expensive.

2 weeks ago I got a 1999 Toyota Corolla (in good condition, low mileage) for $5,250 (incl tax, 8 month warranty). Very expensive I know, but in comparison to others I'd looked at it didn't seem a too bad deal. From what I've heard / seen Toyota's definitely do hold their price. Older early 90's Tercels I've seen go for $2,500+!

I had a 1998 Toyota Avensis in the UK which had more extras then the car I just got which only fetched £450 when I left. I was annoyed but you can't really compare. They have one market there, this is totally different that's one thing you have to stop thinking about.

Whatever you go for - makes sure it's BCAA inspected for 'peace of mind' if nothing else.

Erm can't think of much else, hope I helped in someway (and If I'm repeating anything else others have said sorry, I was too lazy to read all the other replies)
