I prefer the Teflon coated ones as the blood wipes off easily.

I had Teflon coating with the last blades. Yes, while I agree the blood is easier to manage, the coating on the passenger side blades tend to wear very quickly, particularly when doing the recreational 'bus stop cruise' during the evening rush hour.

The trouble with rhenium diboride is that it doesn't cut both ways.

You're not supposed to use the blades on bus stop runs.:eek::eek:

You're supposed to have a passenger and he/she has to open the door at the right time to see how many you can knock over.

You get more points that way.

Sometimes it just doesn't cut it.

Best to get the clockwise rotating only system, and never use it while driving in reverse.

Excellent point. Well made.

A joke loses its immediacy when I have to google to find out what it's all about, but still: nice one, Mr Castrian. I hadn't heard of Rhenium Diboride (though of course I knew of Rhenium thanks to a childhood of Tom Lehrer's songs - I used to be able to recite "The Elements") but now I know. You learn something every day...

I shall have to get some of these blades. I have some dents in the passenger door after an incident with a particularly obstinate bus queue. Revenge shall be mine. Bwahahahaha!

That may be the sport there in Calgary but here in Ottawa we've refined it somewhat. The City are even setting up anti blade devices around bus stops to help prevent the carnage which goes on most Friday evenings.

Those poor schmucks at the bus stop don't have a chance.

Sadly this is a REAL product:eek: available to real nutters, although not yet available at Canadian Tire.

I've just spent an hour and a half clearing my driveway. I'll do it again later. Next time will be harder because the git with the plough will have been round.

Nice to see, though, that the bin men turned up at the usual time.

Welcome to Montreal!

You wrote a book! On the subject of rhenium?!
I'm guessing it wasn't a novel.

I wrote the introduction to a book once. On CT scanners though not on rhenium - but I could have mentioned it as there is some rhenium in an x-ray tube.........
