How did they reach a figure of 5%? Luck? Just inquisitive.

Not that it matters. The quantities used are miniscule.

It's called "Canadian humor". Very different to "British sarcasm". If you plan to move to Canada you better get used to it.

Yea, just plain dumb luck. (Also rhenium is bloody expensive).

If its to do with a desired crystal structure they probably used the phase diagram I imagine. Its what any self respecting metallurgist would do.

I thought I started this thread off with 'The Weather in Toronto!'

I have no intention of joining anyone on the road in this weather.

How long will this last for?

When does Spring arrive?

Leo

Thats BE for you. We have no control over it.

This cold snap is probably only good for a few days, maybe a week tops.

Spring will be here sometime around late March, maybe April. Could still do this as a one off in May though...has in the past.

This is rather atypical at the moment, it doesnt usually get this cold and snowy till January, officially this is still Fall!

Its what any metallurgist with an interest in Re would do. Most of the stuff is used in single-crystal superalloys.

If there is such a thing as "Canadian humor" one would hardly expect to find it here.

Except for Canadian metallurgists. You know, ones with a sense of humour.
