Really enjoyable to watch grumpy old Dimbleby and Paxman grilling people all night. I really miss good hard-nosed questions and journo's who don't buy the bullshit. You really don't see it here in Canada...ever. Journalists are far too polite and worried about offending people and have no personality. I forgot how much I'd missed watching politicians squirm. Politics is far more interesting and full of character in the UK than here, where it's just totally bland.

Esther Ranzen is a wonderful lady, I'd have certainly voted for her in this election. If only she could be cloned so that there were 650 of her, one to stand for Parliament in every constituency in Britain. What a fantastic country Britain would be with 650 lovely Esthers at the helm. I'd certainly go back then.

I think the Andrew Marr boat load of "celebs" just shows what a "celebrity" fixated society the UK has become. Just one of the reasons I want out of here. If the boat had sank I wonder what would have been the headline the next day? Election or wet celebs!

I watched the Beeb'c coverage as they were conveniently streaming it all online with no thought to geographical restrictions. I similarly thought the celebrity party boat was pointless and far less amusing than Jeremy Vine's insertion into a bizarre election virtual reality world. The walking up and down the stairs at No 10 with various pictures of prime minsters past, was particularly funny. Oh yes, and it was refreshing to see just how abrasive Paxman can be, particularly when it's 3am and he is presumably running a sleep deficit!

Spoke to my father in England yesterday- he was pretty furious about the fact that Gordon Brown was refusing to leave number 10 and having a serious rant at UKIP for taking valuable votes away from the Conservatives.
It will be interesting to see how it unfolds. Surely a Conservative- Lib Dem Pact will not last a whole term?

Just looked through that. Unless the bottom two unknown entities are any good I'd be very worried if I was back in the old country.

It will be interesting to see if Clegg is just using this to extract more concessions from the conservatives.

Hope thats the case.
A Lib-Lab -Scot-Welsh-Green Pact would put this country into neutral.
