Hey, vous avez des accents, c'est neat, je n'ai pas ici.

A more serious complaint would be that everything takes forever here. We all know about the immigration process but civil litigation and criminal prosecutions also take forever. One's approach to litigation must be shaped by the idea that one may very well not live to see the outcome. I suggest that if routine court cases take decades justice is denied.

Oh, and there's also Steven Harper, why move to a country with a Steven Harper?

Just to put this back on topic..... mosquitoes! (and all the other bitey things)

Oh, and the fact that buildings/shops etc are so darn functional looking. Most unappealing in the main from the outside, no charm outside of the 'olde' areas.

That and chain restaurants... (but the food in the shops/markets is fab!)

Frankly, I don't care for it. I like the idea that the resulting mess is called santorum but I think it's a joke better enjoyed in the abstract.

You're sig says you're in Oak Ridges? Just north of Richmond Hill where I live? You shouldn't complain about mossies there. Believe me, it can be much, much worse.

I know that really (got bitten to death in Algonquin last week and it wasn't even the mozzie season proper! )

It's just that I'd been told there weren't really any in the suburbs and we bought a house backing on to the Moraine and, well there are tons of the buggers - I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to beat them back next summer - my neighbour has just built a screened in porch!

Ask IanK. He posted a pic of his "mossie zapper" catch a while ago. And it serves you right for buying a house on the moraine. A pox on the OMB and Mike Harris.

If you mean Lake Wilcox, then yes, it's close by, but we are actually just south of Bloomington. Not ON any lake though, just ponds behind us full of frogs etc., but we do have deer which is kind of nice in the midst of all this concrete madness.
