A more serious complaint would be that everything takes forever here. We all know about the immigration process but civil litigation and criminal prosecutions also take forever. One's approach to litigation must be shaped by the idea that one may very well not live to see the outcome. I suggest that if routine court cases take decades justice is denied.
Oh, and there's also Steven Harper, why move to a country with a Steven Harper?

Just to put this back on topic..... mosquitoes! (and all the other bitey things)
Oh, and the fact that buildings/shops etc are so darn functional looking. Most unappealing in the main from the outside, no charm outside of the 'olde' areas.
That and chain restaurants... (but the food in the shops/markets is fab!)

You're sig says you're in Oak Ridges? Just north of Richmond Hill where I live? You shouldn't complain about mossies there. Believe me, it can be much, much worse.

) It's just that I'd been told there weren't really any in the suburbs and we bought a house backing on to the Moraine and, well there are tons of the buggers - I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to beat them back next summer - my neighbour has just built a screened in porch!
