There is. You make sure you know the tariff code and the regulations and quote the applicable paragraphs of the act. Then ask for their supervisor if that gets you nowhere.

If you are prepared there is plenty you can do, if not, you take your chances. I have had to do this on more than one occasion and the result is how it should be and the goods come in correctly.

Why not just give the kid whatever is here instead of buggering around buying foreign stuff? Our kids had Canadian formula and don't seem to be any the worse for it.

Certainly when if you were coming for two weeks holiday, bring your own formula, but surely if you are coming for an extended stay wouldn't it be better for the mental health of the whole lot of you to get your sprog on something Canadian? There are perfectly happy, healthy Canadian babies. Our son had Canadian formula three times when we visited and it did no lasting damage
