Oh I'm sorry you didn't get a card.

I was really surprised at my place of work - where civvies were known as effing civvies(usually followed by not you piff!). Well I was called into the CQ's dept, where they had laid on a little buffet and some beers and I was presented with a card and a gift - just like they would do when someone got posted - made me cry it did

Ah thats lovely.....see, thats what should happen, something thoughtful and special....

It doesn't take much really - a card and a good luck wish would work!

I like that idea .. its not everyday you get the opportunity to emigrate ..

But yeah you do form attachments with some people .. i had a "work mom" who i could tell everything and anything to which was very nice .. And not forgetting the bitch of the office who i refused to hug or say goodbye to .. patronizing cow .. lol .. oh the good old days
