FYI - Desertfox or whoever, this tool:
http://schoollocator.baragar.com/bc41/search.cfm
shows you what schools' catchment you are in for any address in burnaby.

Ah, gotcha. But that's Vancouver school board, I think they do things a bit differently there.
Burnaby has it's own school board

We have sent off our TWP application yesterday after receiving our police certificates. It is an expensive business moving to another country and we've paid total of £336.00 for postal order (fees for work permit and student permits) and posting special delivery. But I guess we are now a step closer.
How long did you guys wait for your med. requests?

Another step closer and easing the stresses a little bit as we already have an offer to our property which we have accepted today!
Now just waiting for our med requests to arrive. I'm sure that I've read it elsewhere (can't remember exactly) that you could even book you meds even before you have the request, is that correct? And if it is true how does it works? Do we just need to ring any DMP and book ourselves? many thanks.

I know someone did say that you can book them beforehand BUT,
to book the medical you are sent a form for the Dr to complete from CIC and when I rang to make a medical appt I was asked if I had received this form and asked me for the reference number on it ( it also has your photograph on it ) so without this form I was unable to book an appointment ( this was in South Wales and Bristol).

teresa thanks for your reply. I guess we'll just wait for our med request to arrive and hopefully won't very long from now.

Received our medical requests from CIC today and booked our med exam on Thursday 26/03/09. Another step closer and just the final hurdle I guess
