Our water is about $80 per month - soon to be free as we are going to a well. Our house is 4xthe size of our UK one.

I wouldn't say it's cheap that's for sure, but you can't do without it.

600sqft - basements aren't included in the sqft of a house when it's listed but you still have that extra space if it's developed.;)

I don't necessarily have to live in a big house, just one we can afford at a reasonable price. Be able to pay the bills an have a little bit of money left over to have some fun that's all

hmmm let me think London or Regina..really like asking the question Kate Moss or Nora Batty..that alone makes me question your husband's judgement..it would take a whole lot more than $73k (which isnt that great) for me to even look twice at Regina or anywhere in Saskatchewan (and yes i have been there)..makes even Edmonton seem cosmopolitan.

I don't think the location is the only thing for the OP to be concerned about. If my wife said to me, "I'm moving to regina to drive trucks, feel free to come but if not i'm going anyway to live my dream. Oh, and i'll be away from home most of the time so you'll be on your own. So are you giving up your life, your job, and your friends, that you enjoy and make you happy, or not? Either way, i don't care"

I paraphrase of course :)

Maybe the OP should watch the movie "30 Days of Night". It's a factual re-telling of the average January in Regina i believe.

*link contains scary, but factual on Regina, stuff.
