Cyclist = road bike? You should get into mountain biking as it will go well with trail running. For either one check out Ledgeview in Abbotsford. Not too sure about Langley.

bullshit. I live in Burnaby and there is loads of transit here.

Didn't say there wasn't transit, but its built around the car, and its a pain in the butt to deal with transit in Burnaby unless you are near a sky train line and can avoid the bus system.

I lived in the Vancouver/Burnaby area but not near a sky train line, and its a royal pain in the butt and time consuming to deal with buses.

Noo its noooot built around the car. It hasn't been for around 20 years, since the skytrains went in. I don't live that close to a skytrain and the buses are fine. i don't drive, so I know of what I speak for once

As a transit user who did not live along the sky train line (its not all the useful for a large swath of people dont) and had to rely 100% on the bus system, transit sucks.

Its only good if you can utilize the sky train, otherwise its crap and time consuming.
