Mapquest has its uses for sure but I have doubts as to its reliability within cities. Its suggested route from Ottawa airport to my house may be the shortest but you'd have to be insane to go that way. Unless you want a tour of every major bottleneck in the National Capital Region.

We're doing the same, we can't afford to live in Vancouver, so need to buy a house within 1 hour's commute. I presume Edmonton is the same, the nearer you are to the city, the dearer the housing is. Are there any Realtors that may be able to advise you what the area is like? Mel |

I would love that, but we chose to have a house for the benefit of the children. I've often lived near to shops in nice areas and have enjoyed that much more than the suburbs! Oh well, we all make choices. It is nice to have a garden when it's hot outside. |
