The weather is just starting to get better, short and t-shirt weather. How old are your children, because if the last child is small the hotel may give you a extra bed, you can only ask. You could go for a suite with to two bedroom this maybe better for you. Look on the internet for hotels, best western, holiday inn, ramada inn. Pick up the province paper, there are homes to rent. I live in Walnut Grove in Langley there are lots of houses, duplexes, suites, townhouses to rent.
Have you sold your house in England, you could buy a house in ten days over here. Look up on the internet for the papers website and look for them that way.

I have been on VCH site, but at the minute we are focusing on Vancouver Island. If things don't go to plan there then we will explore jobs on the mainland.

Is working on the wards hard when you have so many posts not filled, or does overtime or casuals tend to cover the shortages?
We had an email asking us to send resumes and fill in their application form that is downloadable form their website. I sent the resumes via email but haven't sent the application form yet. Trying to decide if I feel brave enough to use work's fax machine to send the details to Canada 
Knowing my luck I'd get caught.
Will probably get round to sending it snailmail soon. I have at least sent off the CRNBC stuff now

Have VIHA rang you yet? You'll have to keep me updated, then at least whoever gets an interview first can let the other know what to expect

Have you been on Vancouver Hospital website: www.vch.ca/jobs/index.htm thay are short of nurses. I work there and my unit there was 5 lines( to you jobs) not covered. There are other hospital, St. Paul's hospital in Vancouver and Lions gate Hospital, Women's hospital, Children's Hospital. It depends where are going to Live??????

Yes! I saw them in rcn bulletin and applied online I've had emails to let me know they've been received and one from VIHA who asked when I'd be in for them to ring..........and then nothing.
What have you heard? we're in the same field so thats good but we can see whats happening.
