Cheap Hotels in Lethbridge
#1
Hi All,
Can anyone recommend a cheap hotel in Lethbridge where me the mrs and kids can stay for 5 nights? We hope to be over there at the end of June for a spot of research/job hunting. I have had a quick look on the net at expedia and other similar sites but I thought it wise to check for insider information on this one. Thanks for any ideas

Hi Sean
It's me again
Silly I know but have you tried to do a google canada search for motels in Lethbridge ? I know there is a holiday Inn Express - the cheaper budget hotel - in town just off the crows nest highway.
Also a fair few hotel/motels down mayor Macgrath (kinda the most central street in town)
Here is what my search came up with but dont know if they are all on Expedia. Would check them out and see how much they are direct - you never know you could save some money.
Choose on the Mayor and you cant go wrong at all - there are also loads of places to eat banks etc on Mayor.
Good Luck Sean

I am actually sitting in the Thrift Lodge on MacGrath as i write, so i could look out of the window if you like
Seriously, Thrift Lodge is $72 and i think that is the cheapest, there is also:
Econolodge, Sandman, Best Western, Ramada, Best Canadian.
We are doing the 2 week looksee and tomorrow we are going up to Calgary for a poke about before we fly back to sell the house.
We've been to H & R, looked at houses, looked at cars, found a place to rent, been to the cinema, been to Fort Whoop Up, seen the Mall, found places for cheap furniture, read the book, bought the t shirt etc etc etc...
so if i can help please email me

Just to add Sandman are nice hotels - have stayed in the one in Calgary and my friend used to work at the Lethbridge one too
Good luck selling the house and hope everything works out great

Thrift Lodge is the cheapest I could find for my family to stay in when they visit. There are some really small/nasty looking motels byt you don't want to stay there.
When you move here - RBC are great to new immigrants (Good Mortgage Pro's as well) Guess who I work for......
Drop by and we will look after you
Property market here is rising like a good souffle (Knock on effect from Calgary) So don't have an heart attack when you see some prices (Still find some good deals though - but your in the North or West Side)
Enjoy your trip/research

Hi were moving to the bridge in July.
After renting in Calgary for 2 years we cant get on the ladder here so while hubby has to put up with the 2 hr commute on a good day we have got a new build up North in Legacy Ridge. Could'nt get anything near it in Calgary for the price and we are defo glad we bought in Jan this year.
We looked at the Comfort in to stay between our rental ending and the posession date of 14 days, but for the hassle of it with 2 kids we will just pay the extra month rent here. Our landlord would'nt lease for less than a month and he's also putting the rent up plus admin fee the cheeky bugger but he knows when hes got us.
May see you all in the bridge.

Hi Phil,
May have to pay you a visit when we come over in June (fingers crossed). We plan to open a bank account to transfer our funds over into. I'll let you know when we've booked our flights and see if we can meet up.
Thank you all for your advise on Hotels/Motels it's been of great use.
We just need our PPRs now and we can plan a landing/research trip. Hopefully someone will offer us jobs as well

See all you Lethbridgians soon
