Sorry didn't reply to all your post, we have been on the market for approx. 5 weeks, had 224 hits and 1334 room hits. We rejected first 2 offers and provisionally accepted the 3rd. We also have another couple interested but they need to first sell their property. It is quite a stresful time though with the house prices falling and the exchange rate working against us, only blessing is that the Canadian housing market (in Calgary anyway) is going down slightly.

I was doing my sums the other day and with the equity we have every 5 cents drop in the exchange rate will cost us $10,500.00

Ouch on the offer, but at least you've had a fair bit of interest and some offers!
we've only been on for a week, with 58 hits and 318 room hits, we're betting half of them are from people living in our village being nosey!!
no offers yet but early days, not sure what we'll decide if we get offers at 10% less than asking, will have to judge the situation as it occurs i think. we're ready to go except for selling the house, i've sponsored my partner and he now has his PR visa, we're going out to NS in July to look at job opps etc

good luck in your negotiations

Hi
Chaz OH is an avionics engineer was in the RAF until last year, He will be working for IMP in Halifax think they employ loads of brits he found the job on the internet, They came over here to do interviews 4 days later he had an offer That was it

We have been with a relocation company for 18 months and still at least 2 years off then this happens and we are going in 3 months

The best advice we were given was apply for everything and ring companies if possible they are really friendly people and seem to like contact not just emails etc.

Good luck
