The one we are in at the moment is good, fairly new. The first one we had in Osnabruck (Germany) was horrendous, could not put baby in her room as there was damp all the way up the walls, managed to get moved after living in it for 6 wks.

Taking the kids from school is heart breaking. I have done it twice and the older they get the more difficult it becomes. My kids loved their school in England and I was involved in the school a lot so it was sooooooo hard to let go. It breaks my heart when they say that they miss the school because I do too and I know what they feel.
The thing that gets on my nerves a lot here in Canada is people asking me where my accent is from. It makes my blood boil.

Why not wear a big badge with your country of origin on it in big letters if you don't want to be asked???
Surely it is a good ice-breaker with people and gives you the opportunity to meet new people?

My two little'uns go to a fairly big school in Whitby ONT. (600 on the role) but they only have about 18 in their class as well as the teacher and two assistants. In the UK there were 30 in their class and the poor teacher had to cope most days on her own. Just my two pennies worth!
