Echo the emotion thing!! Was walking through the graveyard yesterday and started to think about my Mum n Dad. Both in their 70's so all the maudlin thoughts crept in. Then there's the kids. We have four between us, three of which are staying here. Their choice
Anyhow know we're doing the right thing and I suppose the feelings we're both feeling now are exactly the same as everyone who's done this and left family behind.

Thanx to everyone who has responded to this thread, your kind thoughts are appreciated. 
Sad feelings of leaving everyone behind is getting stronger, but still looking forward to settling down into our new life. My daughter(18) is struggling with it now, as its becoming more real to her that the move is actually taking place. I think over the last year or so she hasn't realised that we are actually going!! You know how teenagers are, they only live for whats happening to them over the next few days, not the future!
Leaving do arranged for Wednesday
Going to the chip shop for our tea on Thursday!!!! Last pudding, chips, peas and gravy for a while
Then Friday its off to the airport.

Fantastic news
We have just dropped our dogs off with the pet travel agency - now there is just the leaving party tonight, recovery from that tomorrow, and then the stress of getting 3 kids and half a ton of luggage from the Isle of Wight to Gatwick in the early hours of Sunday morning !!:scared:
