Flights booked for 19th!!!!
House finally sold and contracts exchanged yesterday!!!!!!!!!
Shippers have been in today and wow, how quick were they??????!!!!!!!!

Can't believe its finally happening.
Had to borrow a corkscrew and wine glass from the neighbours lol

Fantastic news
We have just dropped our dogs off with the pet travel agency - now there is just the leaving party tonight, recovery from that tomorrow, and then the stress of getting 3 kids and half a ton of luggage from the Isle of Wight to Gatwick in the early hours of Sunday morning !!:scared:

We have just dropped our dogs off with the pet travel agency - now there is just the leaving party tonight, recovery from that tomorrow, and then the stress of getting 3 kids and half a ton of luggage from the Isle of Wight to Gatwick in the early hours of Sunday morning !!:scared:

Hey Kellydrew, brilliant news. Loads of good luck to you and everyone else too. I am finally going on 17th January. Glad when I am on the plane as sorting everything out on my own without the OH has been a bit testing to say the least!!! He left in September so cannot wait to see him.
Been using our local library to acess mails as no computer now.
Reality has certainly hit in now and feeling a little emotional but cannot wait to start my new life.

Echo the emotion thing!! Was walking through the graveyard yesterday and started to think about my Mum n Dad. Both in their 70's so all the maudlin thoughts crept in. Then there's the kids. We have four between us, three of which are staying here. Their choice
Anyhow know we're doing the right thing and I suppose the feelings we're both feeling now are exactly the same as everyone who's done this and left family behind.

Bet you're glad to see the back of Hindley!!!
After our shakey start we've not looked back since...still have the odd 'UK missing day' mainly silly things like missing certain shops, family and friends and decent newspapers and magazines. Although I managed to find a market stall that sells Heat magazine that is about 4 weeks old. I know sad eh!
