Nearly a month since posting and we've heard nothing back. Is there a way to contact them to make sure it was received?

Not the payment, the paperwork (which obviously, included the receipt from the on-line payment). It turns out, that my "international signed for" actually only tells me if it was passed to the Canadian post (which it was soon after posting).

If you sent vial Royal Mail, pop onto the Canada Post website and insert your tracking details there.

Once Mississauga received my application i heard back in 2 weeks that they were happy to go ahead and will be passing it on to London for processing. Not sure if that helps but it gives you some kind of time frame to work on. I received a letter from them telling me this which included the Client ID needed to track ECAS.

Aha! I had no idea you could do that! They received it on 2009/05/22 (17 working days ago). If I don't hear anything by the 22nd I may try and give them a call?

BTW, Congrats on the passport request! :D

Hi,

Hopefully this part of the sponsorship wont take too long, its the next step that can take some time depending on how straight forward the application is... anyways good luck and hopefully you will hear some good news soon.

Sponsorship Approved :D :D :D

I assume that is the part where they judge on my sponsors ablities to provide for me once there? Is there many cases of the visa not getting passed after this stage?!?!?

YAY!

It's exactly what it says - the eligibility of the sponsor to sponsor has been assessed and approved.

It's entirely possible for the sponsored person to be deemed inadmissable to Canada - criminal record, medical issues etc. How likely is this in your case? Well only you know that.;)

My criminal check was totally clear (no trace) and I'm a 27 year old guy with no illness, no family history of illness/diseases. I go to the gym and weightlift 3 times a week and run 5k 3 times a week. The doctor that took the medical even commented on my wellbeing, and closed the conversation with "Enjoy Canada" (I'll never forget that).

I think I'll be OK on the points you mentioned! :D

Hi all, i'm just wondering why CHC london is taking too long to complete the final processing of spousal PR visa, they use to be very fast, but since March 2009 they have been draging their feet. This Blog is Targeting people in UK or Europe applying for a Canadian permanent residency Family Class spousal visa whose application is still "in process" according to Ecas in London visa office since April/May 2009. let us all share our timeline so that we can guide and understand the patern and time fame CHC london is using.

My timeline so far is sponsorship approval CHC Mississuaga 29th April 09,

CHC london recieved application 11 may 2009, "in process".

Thanks

Well, that copy & paste job of your first post really clarified matters

I think you need to look at this http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/informa...ses.asp#europe

50% are cleared within 4 months. You have not even hit the 2 month mark.

Permanent Residence
We started processing XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX's application on July 2, 2009.

:D

They already have my police checks and medicals. Fingers crossed, there should be no request for extra documents!

this is it, the final stage, can take anywhere between 2-8 months, hopefully should be done sooner rather than later, depends on how quick the checks are completed, documents are verefied and authenticity of your marriage....good luck and all the best mate...
