yes paddocks will send out to you in Canada and also had a message from someone with another company who will also send out parts so im not too worried about that! Ours is a n and E reg, the E reg is completely newly built, the n reg is the offroader with locking diffs the lot, think ive posted laready on here hwt she has. Yes you never get back what you spend on them but its a passion and my hubbys hobby. Picking the new landy (E reg) up on sunday, very exited! My hubby also does most of the work himself. I’ve brought a 1992 Mini over, used RoRo without any issue
Also used a broker, it helps
Parts are not an issue, I use either a local merchant who buys in bulk form the UK or MiniSpares who are UK based and ship quite reasonably, I never use the US suppliers as the mark up is high.
Finding a garage that will sort out a British car isn’t hard, but finding one that really knows what they’re doing and will do it for a fair price isn’t easy either.

DH bought his lightweight landrover in our 45ft container. It's hardly been driven since though (been too busy) and now we're planning on going back to the UK he's thinking of selling it here as it will be worth more and we can avoid the cost of shipping it back again...

In 1982 I brought over a 1968 Lotus Elan +2 I didn't have to pay taxes on it because it was owned by me in the UK. It's a pig of a job driving a right hand vehicle simply because it's difficult to overtake when you can't see past the vehicle in front. After 3 years I was driving down the 401 near Toronto the damn thing caught fire. I got out and had to watch as that classic car melted down "sniff sniff"
