I've also had the opportunity to travel around Canada and the U.S. Of course things are much different now the UK so what constitutes a "better life" is a very personal thing. It could be adventure, different lifestyle, different geography, different career. I have to agree with flashman. I left England in 1963 at aged 16. I finally ended up as an Air Traffic Controller for thirty years. I'm not at all sure I would have done that well in England, maybe, maybe not who knows. All I know is now I'm retired, I'm very happilly married (just celebrated our 37th anniversary) with two wonderful sons, one grandchild and one on the way. :D:D So Canada has been very, very good for me. |
