Not always in my opinion but the latest is hyped crap and the actor leaving is crap to boot!

cant agree more they should have left it where it belongs stuck in a 70s gravy no remake is as good as the originals and they were bad

Really? I thought episode 1 was fantastic and can't wait for the next one tomorrow. The humour was just right, and I thought Christopher Ecclestone was superb, something about that crazy stare was spot on for the Dr's role.

Any of the last three would be OK with me.

I can understand why Eccelston quit but it's really annoyed me.
Doctor Who is something special and you carry a certain responsibility when you take the job, there's history there and if you can't see that and treat it with the respect it deserves, you shouldn't apply for the job.

Actually, I'm really p_ssed off by this.

my vote would be for Alan Davies.

Totally agree Biiiiink - (I was a Jon Pertwee child and didn't watch any of the following actors) I am truly middle-aged and usually ready for bed by 9 but Christopher Ecclestone added some excitement to our Saturday night sofa last week Even stayed up till 10 getting over it !!
