Dr Who
CBC will be showing the new Dr Who series starting on April 5th at 8pm (don't know what time zone that is)
Anyone care to explain why they dressed the Doctor as a trendy geography teacher? |

Anyone care to explain why they dressed the Doctor as a trendy geography teacher? The first episode has leaked onto the net and had some VERY POOR reviews but I DON'T CARE, I'm going too watch it anyway. |

Whatever they do, the new Doctor can't be as bad as Sylvester McCoy. My personal faves: Jon Pertwee or Peter Davison ... It's Dr Who ... I haven't come to expect gripping story lines or great special effects ... it's a Brit thing ... I'm compelled to watch ... I must obey. |

Re: Dr Who
Do they show Doctor Who in Canada, my favourite was late Jon Pertwee show seemed to go down after him made the character to comic. Have just had to sell my Doctor Who Pinball table in preparation for emigrating. There were clips on the BBC this morning and it looked great everybody at the advance showing seemed to love it

Oh hallelujah!!! I have a thing for John Barrowman ( http://www.barrowmanonline.com/ for those who haven't heard of him ) and his character doesn't appear until episodes 11 and 12, by which time we'll be in Canada. I'm not going to miss them now, yahoo!!!!! :D :D :D

Dr Who had cyborgs who wanted to assimilate all of humanity decades before the Borg had even been thought of. The coolest TV baddie ever ad to be the Master as played by the late Richard Delgado ... the Doctor's nemesis ... he had the snear to beat all snears ... I remember one storyline where he masqueraded as a Vicar (an Anglican pastor) and conducted Satanic rituals in a church basement ... now that's what I call kid's TV. Classic Brit TV ... if you have BBC kids it's on some time after midnight. Otherwise go to the BBC website ... you'll find clips in the cult TV section. |
Re: Dr Who
Christopher Eccleston has quit the role of Doctor Who after filming one series, saying he fears being typecast, leaving the show's title role vacant.
As the BBC confirmed it would film another series of the popular show, a number of actors have been suggested to play television's 10th Doctor. Here are some of the actors tipped by TV pundits, fans and bookmakers to take the role. David Tennant Alan Davies Bill Nighy Richard E Grant David Thewlis ---- Any of the last three would be OK with me. I can understand why Eccelston quit but it's really annoyed me. Doctor Who is something special and you carry a certain responsibility when you take the job, there's history there and if you can't see that and treat it with the respect it deserves, you shouldn't apply for the job. Actually, I'm really p_ssed off by this. |
