Coffee opinion

As a little light entertainment - I believe Canada was listed as the number one coffee consuming nation per head some time ago.

Just wondering what the ex-pat taste buds favour?

The coffee here is just way too bitter for me. I didn't drink a huge amount in the UK but, no matter how hard I try, I just can't acquire the taste for it here.

The only way I can bear it, is to have virtually more "Coffee Mate" than coffee (preferabley the hazelnut one)

I prefer Starbucks skinny latte but NO Starbucks here in the land of Tim Hortons. Had quite a few Timmys here, and drink far more coffee at home than I ever did in the UK. Even get cravings for it

Can't stand the smell of coffee first thing in the morning and prefer to start my day with a huge mug of strong tea

Strangely enough I'm the same. Must have cup of Tea to start day as the smell of coffee first thing makes me boak.

Just posted this as coffee appears to be a national obsession/addiction in Canada.

As I type this my cup is running out and the espresso maker is calling.

Earlier posts suggest that some people are able to get up, wash, dress and go out for breakfast coffee. I couldn't even contemplate going vertical before her indoors has brought me a steaming mug in bed.

Do you drink the steaming mug or does she throw it over you?

Depends on how well-behaved I was during the night.

Each to their own. I don't mind Timmies ditch water occasionally but only if it's accompanied by a dutchie.

Gotta be Tims, and it has to be a medium double double. Even better if I win a "Roll Up The Rim" doughnut to go with it (a boston cream......Mmm) although the car would be nice to win as well !
