I stand corrected Useful to know since I'd wondered if some UK blurays were in fact 50hz.... I believe Sky HD uses 50hz for it's output too.

I stand corrected too. I was going on the fact that I hooked up a standard multi region UK DVD player via a HDMI lead to my Canadian TV ( 1080P capable ) and it wouldn't display UK discs only North American discs. I had to purcahse a multi region multi output Canadian player.

We shall see when I eventually buy a stand alone Blue Ray and not use the PS3 although most if not all the discs I own will be North American.
