Some if this is really amusing...
The interest rates have been dictated by the bank of England an not the government for some time…and in reality these low intrest rates have been driven by the stagnation in the US economy ..so nowt to do wiv T.Blair
House prices.. well that classic piece of stupidity lies firmly at the heart of the greedy public.. they create the boom and pay the price each any every tiem they do it… and yes ist starting to look just like last time….
And to worry about a down turn affecting the UK because of its debt… well welcome to last week we would all goes down and fast because we rely on the US economy and guess what they have the deficit that could put the whole world in recession that’s why they’re spending so much time being nice to china and encouraging others to buy government bonds to prop up the dollar…. At least you in the UK will get some protection via Europe… we in Canada sink or swim at the mercy of the US economy

I can never look at the word Petawawa without thinking of turbo-charged farts.

every country has it problems! including Canada, believe me the grass isn't always greener on the other side, I'm from the UK and ive lived in the US and Canada and after 4 year of being outside of the UK I would consider moving back if the opportunity arrived, Canada is a nice country but it lacks real culture, I miss the culture back home and knowing that your 'British' here being Canadian means hmmm not a lot

Well, that's a nice, well-defined comment on the world's second largest and possibly most ethnically diverse country. Would you care to elaborate?

There's an iron fist.... it's just covered with a velvet glove. The majority of Canadians are sheep.
(I have a feeling I won't be allowed back in the country!
