But Harveys is so much better. Isn't there a burger with your name on?;)

That's true - next time I'm in there I'll ask for a DBD33 burger....

Ah the irony. ;)

People complain about crime in the UK. You counter by saying how violent Toronto is, based on your experiences, and then official figures suggest Toronto is actually one of the better places for crime.

Presumably you would disagree based on your experience/perception. Just like others disagree about the UK figures based on their experience/perception.

It's a rum old world.:)

Make sure they don't give you 33 though.

They never get my orders right.:(

They take their lawyers there, it's near the court building. Week in week out they serve the scum of the earth, as well as hookers, drug dealers and pimps.

Me either - is "Bacon Cheeseburger" that hard to understand with an English accent? Last time I got a burger with no cheese or bacon...

I know though that my perception is coloured by the fact that I'm usually in the east downtown, I see a lot of crime and destitution whereas when I worked over on University Ave I saw hardly any crime. I don't argue that the GTA as a whole is a dangerous place.

I've been experimenting. Years of mustard, hot peppers, relish, cheese, tomatoes. Lately I've tried onions, mayo, Red Hot sauce. I guess I'm experiencing the change.

Rexdale is a shocker

This 23 minute ctv report says it all.

Is there a spot in the UK that is on the same level?

Fair point. But maybe those posting about the UK and the unpleasant aspects feel the same. Their perception is also coloured by what they see increasingly and then their experiences are dismissed by crime stats. I'm sure they don't really believe the UK as a whole is unpleasant.

If that's the case then we have no theme for this banter.

I wish. Alas, I can't do that again today.
