Buy a Quicktax package. $19 from Walmart, you will probably only need the basic one (waits to get flamed by everyone). The "Easy Steps" walks you through the forms and you can then print them off - job done

Or if you bank with RBC they do a link to (I think) Quick Tax and you only pay $15. Fill em in and print em off. Then post them - I have forgotten to do this actual bit...which funnily enough is probably the most important bit...!

At the risk of wandering further off topic and stating the obvious.

When printing out your copy to mail make sure you print a copy for your own records.

Also even if you file online print out a copy for yourself.

Not a good idea to keep only an electronic copy on your computer, even backed up to disk is not that great.

Unless Quick Tax has changed recently only the copy for the year of the tax return is capable of allowing you to look at or print that particular return. So you must keep the software for the seven year period.

I hope that made sense.

I need some rum and coke - hold the coke.

Thinking that prices might increase reasonably.

Property tax 2005 = $1400
2006 = $1700 (21% increase)
2007 = $1900 (11% increase)
2008 = $2050 (8% increase)

That 8% increase this year almost seems a relief.

Now you sound really smart.............so even you should know you can only research so much. Asking the relevant questions you would expect to get appropriate answers.....how do you know, at that stage, they are lies? Further.......you cannot know what the inhabitants of a place are like until you live amongst them. A few weeks reccie doesn't cut it, as we discovered.....so please, less with the smug "Her fault, not ours". It's no-one's fault.........just life. Having lived here for several years, back in the 80's, I can tell you, it was nothing like this.

So many people planning and hoping to come to Canada are filled with the notion that Canadians are so friendly, so welcoming.....it ain't necessarily so!

Oh - and Avril Lavigne tickets?

Just find an accountant who moonlights. I expect many do. Mine does both our returns after hours for $75.

I don't think there is any need to be so abusive and swear so much. I was merely stating that you should stop complaining (typical English wimpy person that you are). As for being smug. HAHAHA, you're the smug <>.

Thanks.

You don't want the Avril Lavigne tickets then?

Abusive? Swearing? What right do you have to call me a "smug <>"....that is extremely offensive.......if it was meant as a joke, it doesn't work.
