Glad it's all going so well for you Printer - as for holiday mode - took me ages to get over that feeling. A lot of that was to do with the 1st house we bought though.
Hope you find the house of your dreams really soon!

Print! Good to hear from you. I thought Kelowna's supposed to be hot? It's says on my computer gadget that it's only 11 degrees, yet at the same time this morning Ottawa was 20,
Anyway good to know you're ok and settling in, how are the boys doing? Got 'em jobs and school yet? And have you found a bar/club for the missus to work in?
What are the Kelowna girls like? Are the REALLY naked from the waist up like the books say?
We're over there in Ottawa in three weeks time for 8 days, looking at the different areas, houses and what not, then hoping to land in September, if this bloody house sells:curse:
Keep in touch...and as they say in Canada..Ge'day mate!

Glad that your enjoying it in Kelowna. Yes it is a little busy when you get here, but it will slow down once you have ticked all the boxes, sin no., driving licence, finding your way around the supermarkets etc.
We may see you at one of the get togethers in Kelowna. If you need anything give us a call.

Yes the weather has cooled down since a couple of weeks ago but it's still averageing around 20 degrees during the day. Had rain early morning but by 8.30am skies were clearing and it was beautiful all day.
Haven't sorted any jobs out yet but if i can send the 2 kids and the missus out to work i will just chill all day long down at Gyro Beach!
Threre are certainly a few sights out here, haven't actually seen any nudity yet but the girl in the supermarket last night in her little shorts came pretty close. (Don't tell the missus she wasn't with me)
Also saw a woman in a clothes shop today wearing the bikini she had tried on whilst looking through some other clothes bold as brass in the middle of the shop.
Bought a vehicle today so wil be the proud owners of a bright red Jeep Liberty by Monday and the insurance was not as bad as i was predicting.
They quoted $1600 and this was for both of us to drive and apparently we could even add my eldest for around $100 extra so long as he is supervised whilst driving. The F 150 5.4ltr truck i fancied was about the same to insure so we will see how we get on as we really don't need two cars yet.
Just a final mention to the guy behind us in Walmart, whoever you were, thanks for being a chilled out Canadian. We had held up the line as the till operator hadn't taken a travellers cheque before and it seemed to take an age, my wife turned to the guy and said "sorry for holding you up" and he just said "hey no problem i have all the time in the world, so where are you guys from"?
Here's the view from our rental

That view would force me to stay up all night just to watch it get light! Now we're probably going to have to have another rethink, hmm.Have you looked at any property yet?
Sending the wife and kids to work sounds like a sound idea

If we had a view like that from our house, I would really struggle having to leave it to go to work. No wonder your having vacation like feelings. Do you keep having to pinch yourself?

I am typing this whilst looking at that very view and the sun is shining, my only wish is that it was my place and not a rental suite!
