I know the area you are moving to, what attracted you to the Windsor area?
Not bad winter climate, but this area is not on every immigrants list.
Saying is, When the going gets tough, the tough get going, hang in there.
The toughest thing about being a civil Servant is to put 2 hours of work into an 8 hour day.

OH is an Electrician and is looking into getting his qualifications sorted for Canadian recognised. We have applied for PR but hoping that he will get a job and do it that way and maybe he can work while the application goes through.
We're planning a trip out to BC in the hope he can take his exam whilst we are there. And take it from there!
Are you Hull born and bred?

Hello and welcome to BE.
I'm a Yorkshire lass...born and bred in Sheffield.
After I got married I moved to Chester. We now live in the US but our daughter is at uni in Toronto...so we have a little place there too. She loves T.O. so do I...I've just spent a month there.

I guess you don't have to, with your daughter living there, you can have a piece of both - US and Canada

Where in US are you Jerseygirl?
