Hello and welcome to BE.

I'm a Yorkshire lass...born and bred in Sheffield.

After I got married I moved to Chester. We now live in the US but our daughter is at uni in Toronto...so we have a little place there too. She loves T.O. so do I...I've just spent a month there.

Toronto is New York , organized by the Swiss.

If you don't like it there, you won't like it anywhere.

Hi
Were from Bingley; just joined today.
We have applied family class and it has proved to be much more complex than we had original expected.
Thirteen months, two sets of medicals and still waiting for the PPR.
We have already bought and are having built a house in LaSalle Ontario; our UK home is on the market (not sold) and our lives are in limbo
I guess everyone else feels much the same as us - somewhat overwhelmed.
Family and friends wont talk about anything Canada related - the enormity of the future is beyond them.
A friendly understanding voice would be much appreciated.
Michal and John

I know the area you are moving to, what attracted you to the Windsor area?

Not bad winter climate, but this area is not on every immigrants list.

Saying is, When the going gets tough, the tough get going, hang in there.

The toughest thing about being a civil Servant is to put 2 hours of work into an 8 hour day.

Hoping desperately to be in Alberta ( calgary or Lethbridge ) by summer 2008.

Look forward to seeing you all maybe ?

JerseyGirl, you'd have loved it last weekend - there was the annual licquorice festival - unfortunately we were carbooting it to get rid of all our stuff and as we got back the heavens opened so we stayed safely indoors :-)

Don't worry, will soon be -20 again!! At least its not been raining for the last 6 weeks solid like it has here! Can't wait to get out there.
Used to live in Eggborough, now in Southport, hopefully in Moose Jaw via PNP this time next year. See ya there
