The fake meat arguement has been done to death on Vegsoc.org.uk

I think they can help those that are just starting out and als for the host / hostess that doesnt know how to cater for a veggie - also I quite like a veggie sausage on the BBQ :)

I've never read vegsoc so have no idea what their conclusion is on fake meat.

I suppose it does help those with limited culinary minds.

I was (actually still am!) a member - you get a quarterly mag with loads on info, recipes , propoganda etc. . .the fake meat issue always comes up in the letters page and there was a big debate one issue - few years back now!

For me, the only thing i miss is bacon, occasionally so i do use those fake rashers, for my once a blue moon bacon sarnie!

And yup - for those totally flummoxed by vegetarians, and are only used to cooking out of a packet - the fake stuff can help!
