Surely, Tuesday and Thursday are good for me this week, and will probably work for me next week as well.

Hello.

We are coming over to Edmonton this week to chesck it all out with regards to moving over there in the near future.

We will be staying in Sherwood Park as this is where my husband has had an offer of work.

We ( me, hubby, 2 kids aged 14 and 11) arrive on thursday 23rd and leave on 3rd/4th November.

If anyone is free to meet up with us we would love the opportunity to talk to people who have already made this big move and get an insight into the life over there.

Many Thanks. :)

I can do tuesday next week. I'll ring Sarah as I'm not sure if she has Internet access yet. Do you have any preferences as to where we meet? I'll try to get ahold of Mim too, as I know she really wanted to come last time...

No, don't mind. I've got an appointment at 2pm so as long as I'm done a bit before then, no worries.

Hi guys ... it was good meeting up with everyone. I've got the internet sorted now!!! When's the meet then?? I'm ok for most of the time except for school day ending time. Got an interview on Friday morning this week - wait until they hear I've not got a work permit!! Anyway, I'm helping out at the school where the kids go on Thurs 30th, but apart from that - I'm FREEEEE!

Hey nordy and sharpy.

Just seen your post again and thought i'd say hello!
Lisa has decided that as long as i can get a job in Edmonton she'll move there! Hope the "bump" is going well, as well as settling in and stuff!

Thanks again for that sharpey special curry! Great to meet you both (and the football was all his idea ha ha ha!).

Eh up!

That's great news! I'm glad Lisa liked it, and I'm sure she'll love it when you do make the big leap across the pond. Sharpey said that she had a really good day out at the funeral home (that must sound really strange to anyone reading this who doesn't know what I am talking about ;)), which must have helped eh? It'll be great to meet up with you guys again when you do get over here, we really enjoyed having you all over. If you want any help/tips on moving & settling in, we'd be happy to help!

Yeah, wierd but nice ha ha! They made a massive fuss out of her and were really impressed by her enthusiasm. She had a ball! Did sharpey tell you about the massive hamper they gave her as a "welcome to edmonton"? It had all sorts in it! I think that swung her a lot. They didn;t offer her a job but i think she feels that in the event that we do manage to get over they'd look after her! The managing director was really good with her and she exchanged email addresses and all sorts with peeps i think!

I think all in all it was a great trip and she LOVED banff! I think it really helped meeting you guys and Dans other friends! Think it showed her that there is life after leaving home... Will definately meet up again and stuff when we get over! Will be a great laugh!

Fingers crossed i'll be out again march / april all being well to do exams and stuff, but don't think we can afford to both come again! Hey, you'll have new little un by then! aww!
