You can't win - if you say she isn't all that it makes it seem like she might be right that you're jealous!! So I'll say she's utterly gobsmackingly stunning and the reason I wouldn't be in the same room as her is cos she's clearly a tool.

But seriously - think she's pretty smart - Daily Mail columnist (so not something to be proud of) and she's all over the world with this - well done her ;-)

Anyway, a friend had posted about this on FB and the resultant pages long thread was quite funny.

I'm probably the only person here who watched Celebrity Big Brother (UK) this year, but there were a pair of Californian Playboy twins who had the same attitude (probably where this Samantha woman got the idea, bwahahahaha). They were pretty in a very obvious, botoxed, bleached, surgically enhanced way.. but they were evil cowbags too. Of course, they felt that the men hated them because they wouldn't sleep with them and the women hated them because they were jealous of them and it was nothing to do with them being condescending, nasty, spiteful or back stabbing. They'd obviously been brought up to think this way.

I believe there's a very fine line between self-confidence and arrogance and proclaiming the world gives you a hard time because of how gorgeous you are is likely a step over into the former.

Me, I don't really care if a person is plain or stunning, its how they behave towards me that counts for everything. I'm nothing more than average but my best friend at school was incredibly beautiful (and still is!) - I got loads of blokes because of it, lmao. (You know, the wingman has to take you on so the good looking bloke has a fair crack at the pretty one)

Having said all that, some of the comments this Samantha woman has had directed at her are appalling.

Oh and for the record I`m absolutely freeking gorgeous - until the alarm goes off and I wake up! I may have grey hair hidden by dye, I may have boobs that now point at the floor rather than the wall and I may be more cake top than muffin top but my hubby loves me, saggy bits & all so that`s all that matters

Most of the comments I've read are bang on imo. Whilst she's no (insert name of stunning woman here), she's not the back of a bus but she is seriously deluded. Just because she obviously judges people by their looks, doesn't mean many many others don't. She's completely misunderstanding why people are calling her arrogant. It's an age old saying but real beauty does come from within. She may have a pretty face but she's as hard and cold inside as an iron bar in the Arctic. That shows through and makes her unattractive to most people.

I would say I'm average. I do have some great features but I've also got some really not so great ones. When I was younger I hated how I looked and think as I get older I get more comfortable with my looks.

Like Gobbyjock, my husband thinks I'm the best thing he's ever seen so that's what matters.

Im quite enjoying this thread it`s giving me a giggle!It`s nice to know that people love you despite having imperfections. I am if nothing else a realist - though I do have nice legs - but even with a bag on my head there is still something wrong about a dumpy 40 something woman wearing a mini skirt!!

My OH loves me and keeps telling me I'm gorgeous, but all I see are my faults. I am that old bag lady in my head, who is flabby and fat, even though at 5'5" I am currently about 55kgs and measure 33-26-35. To me, I'll always be that fat teenager who was bullied, and now I'm an old lady to boot.

Sad I know.
