Are You Boycotting Gloria Jeans?
Are you boycotting Gloria Jeans in the wake of the revelations about their donations to the ACL in support of homophobic 'Christian' groups?

Re: Are You Boycotting Gloria Jeans?
I like theirs slightly better than Starbucks. Zarraffas is the nicest coffee I've found. There isn't one in Gympie though so while Deb does the grocery shopping I usually have a coffee in Gloria Jeans & read the papers. Kills time while I'm waiting. Met a mate this afternoon though & when I suggested Gloria Jeans he was adamant about not going, we ended up in another little coffee shop where the service was excellent & so was the coffee.

I'm a lifelong boycotter.
I thought the latest reason was because of them supporting bikie gangs. I must try to keep up.

I live in Melbourne, no need to go to Gloria's anyway as loads of good coffee around! Plus if I'm having coffee in store I hate having it in a paper cup.
Although I do like their flavoured beans for home ........

A long-time resident (but from WA) laughing at another relatively new arrival...
who was critiquing a bar.
"are you becoming a Melbourne snob?!"

GJ is marginally better than Starbucks but when you have a Zarraffas close by there is no competition.

Since arriving in Australia, Mr BS has always said to me that we should not go to Gloria Jeans for reasons stated in first post. So I have never been.
I like Starbucks coffee anyway.

Several things wrong with this thread.
People going to Starbucks
People liking warm milk from Starbucks
People not using a coffee shop that isn't a massive chain (that's where the best coffee is)
Never understood why Gloria jeans coffee was so expensive. Now I guess I do.
