I think of myself as a citizen of the world, rather than anywhere in particular. I have no affiliation to Australia, other than an apartment and a passport, and yet I served in the army here....

I love the UK, but even by the time I left it had changed from what I liked to something else, so I guess I love an idealized version that no longer exists in reality. I loved the swinging 60's, the time when you could join the British army and serve all over the world, when the BBC announcers had received pronunciation accents. When British cars ruled the roads, and when we made and operated aircraft like the BAC111 and the Trident

Would I go home to the UK if it needed me? Yes. Would I go to Australia if it needed me? No way.

I work for the Asia Development Bank, which is a multilateral finance institution based in Manila with over USD160 Billion of operational cash reserves, established to promote economic and social progress in the Asia-Pacific region.

The Asian Development Bank aims for an Asia and Pacific free from poverty. Approximately 1.8 billion people in the region are poor and unable to access essential goods, services, assets and opportunities to which every human is entitled.

Established in 1966, we are a major source of development financing for the Asia and Pacific region. With more than $17.5 billion in approved financing, and 2,800 employees from 59 countries, ADB - in partnership with member governments, independent specialists and other financial institutions - is focused on delivering projects that create economic and development impact.

How much do you reckon you'd get for a passport on the black market?

Always thought I'd get an aussie one just as a little investment in case I ever needed to cash in

Actually, on further thinking about the original question I am not sure I would give up my British citizenship ... I won't be bothering to renew my passport but the citizenship I might have had to hold on to.

Can't put my finger on why exactly, maybe I am scared I would have to support the Australian cricket team ... Go NZ!

No I wouldn't. I have no intention of living in the UK again and currently have no UK passport as I can't afford to renew four when we don't need them, but I'm very proud to be English and no way could I lose that link.

Yeah I'd chuck it in if I had to.

I'm 36 and have lived in SE England all my life. I met my (now) wife 2.5 years ago and have no intention of not being with her until they carry me out in a box. I can't see us coming back to England to live so it wouldn't be a problem for me.

A couple of friends aside, there's no reason for me to come back once we move. I too am proudly English and having a different citizenship or passport wouldn't change that. England will always be in my heart and where I grew up but Australia (Tassie) will be my new home - once my visa comes through that is
