Loved reading this thread - I dont usually read 8 pages of replies as I have a very short attention span
I think the vote is subjective to where you are at the moment, had I voted 4 years ago it would have been no but now with us settled happily in a lucrative business, a nice home in an area we are happy with, kids settled in good school and university, a much better social life and friends than we ever had in UK my vote is yes.

Too right. It's one wicked see-saw. My underlying and long held belief is we've done the right thing to move here. But translating the dream into a liveable reality seems nearly impossible - especially when a lot is going wrong. Sometimes it's tempting to chuck the towel in and go back. But go back to what exactly? <shudder>
In my opinion we are living beyond our means and have done so for many years.
Re the OP question – I would have done it sooner, differently, and had better values. I’m old enough now to look back on it and ask “what was it all for, and what difference did I makeâ€.
The answer is pretty well none.
I would have changed that.

all my JR's had them and were dumb enough to put the phots from their "black ops", mobiles on
